Dr. Milton Kabia, PhD, DHA, CISSP
Founder and CEO

I am Prof. Milton Kabia, founder and owner of the Kabia Foundation, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals from disadvantaged communities in Sierra Leone. Our mission is to create positive change for orphans and those who must fend for themselves. Through projects such as building water wells and schools, providing tuition fee support, animal husbandry, health centers, mosques, churches, and small businesses for women, and implementing health programs, we develop empowering tools to uplift communities.

Born on the road to a town with a hospital, I have always been driven by a deep passion for community development. After losing my father at the age of three, his last words to my mother, "Send Milton to school," inspired her to ensure my education. Tragically, I lost my mother at age 12 during my first year in high school, leaving me and my five siblings to fend for ourselves. Determined to continue my education, I attended school and worked in the marketplace to support my family. After high school, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Sierra Leone with a Distinction. I taught for a year, worked with Plan International, and received three scholarships to pursue my master's degree in Agricultural Environment and Development in England. In 1994, I shifted my career to computer science, earning a certificate with distinction. Today, I have a PhD in Computer and information security and a Doctor in Health Administration (DHA).

At Kabia Foundation, we dedicate our lives to uplifting communities in Sierra Leone, with our unwavering commitment evident in our relentless efforts to implement sustainable projects that address local needs. From establishing educational programs for children to promoting women's empowerment through small business and agricultural training, we work tirelessly to create opportunities for growth and self-sufficiency. Our vision is to foster an environment where every individual can thrive, regardless of their background. Through our initiatives, we not only improve living standards but also instill a sense of hope and resilience, inspiring others to join us in building a brighter future for rural people in Sierra Leone.

We hope your support for our commitment and dedication to the rural communities of Sierra Leone will help us achieve our goals. A smile from a child or a woman or joyful gatherings in the communities where we operate brings us a great sense of achievement.
